Swift was a fan of music since a young time. She swiftly rose through the ranks, starting by playing roles in the theater for children and then performing in front of a large crowd. In 2011, Swift at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. In the year following, she started writing songs of her own. Drawing inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania along with her parents and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she was 13 years old to dedicate more time to reaching out to country labels.
